Election Inspectors Needed

Our election process is the cornerstone of democracy.  Always exercise your right to vote.  As part of the process, a great way to serve your community and state is by working as an Election Inspector. 

Highland park City Clerk, Mattie P. Carter, is looking for qualified residents of Wayne County to help manage voting precincts on Election Day.

The Election Inspector's job is critical to ensuring a fair and efficient election process.  He or she performs duties such as issuing ballots, maintaining precinct records and lending support to citizens during the voting process.

Persons interested in an appointment to the Election Inspector position must:

  • Be a registered voter of Wayne County
  • Be willing to declare a political party preference so that
    a balanced election board is insured
  • Attend paid election-worker training sessions

Complete the application and bring it to the City Clerk's office at 12050 Woodward Ave, Highland Park
Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday - 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
